Our Holiday Celebration was truly magical and one to remember! The children and families had an absolute blast, and there was something special for EVERYONE—even our incredible parents and caregivers, who were surprised with holiday gifts of their own 💝.

The energy was joyful from start to finish with great music by Sasha and Amplified LA, filling the space with festive vibes and nonstop smiles. Surrounded by our wonderful Loving Hands family, community families, friends, and neighbors, the celebration reflected what the holidays are truly about—connection, love, and togetherness.

Guests enjoyed delicious food and beautiful décor provided by Tacos & Beer and Lala’s Party Creations, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all. And of course, Santa came to visit, bringing extra excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments for the children!

From radiant smiles and shared laughter to meaningful connections and beautiful experiences, the joy was felt all around. We are deeply grateful to our generous donors and partners who made this heartfelt celebration possible. Because of you, families felt seen, valued, and celebrated this holiday season ❤️.

 Spooktacular Halloween Celebration at LHCH 👻

This Halloween, Loving Hands Children’s Home hosted a spooktacular celebration filled with joy, creativity, and community spirit! Our families, friends, and neighbors came together for an unforgettable evening of fun and to honor one of our young children’s birthdays, reminding them that they are important, seen, loved, and supported.

The night was alive with exciting games, festive Halloween music, delicious food, and the highlight of the evening, our much-anticipated Thriller dance performance for neighborhood trick-or-treaters!

🕺  Dancing Our Way to Confidence and Connection

In the weeks leading up to Halloween, our children and families participated in a fun virtual dance class every Friday and Sunday via Zoom, where they learned Michael Jackson’s legendary “Thriller” routine.

Each session encouraged creativity, teamwork, laughs and confidence, as participants practiced the iconic choreography together. Through movement and music, the children developed coordination, discipline, and self-expression, all while having a blast preparing for the big night.

When Halloween arrived, the grand performance became a beautiful display of unity and joy. The dancers’ energy lit up the evening bringing smiles, cheers, and laughter to everyone watching. Children, parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends, and community neighbors all joined in the fun, proving that art and music have the power to connect hearts and strengthen community bonds.

🎁 Boo Crew Bundles: Sharing Care and Kindness

As part of our celebration, we also shared 100 Boo Crew Bundles with children and families in our community. Each care kit was thoughtfully curated to bring comfort, encouragement, and a smile with a touch of Halloween fun to those we serve.

Each bundle included:

• 🫖 A Witch’s Brew Wellness Kit (tea sachet, honey straw, and affirmations)

• 📚 A bookmark with an uplifting quote

• 🎨 A mini pumpkin with paint markers for creative expression

• 💎 A calming stone or crystal for peace and grounding

• 🧦 Cozy socks and an essential oil roller for relaxation

• 🍬 Treats, candy, and Halloween safety tips

• 💌 An info card highlighting our community programs and workshops

 Welcoming an Old Partner in a New Capacity! 

We are thrilled to announce that Loving Hands Children’s Home has officially joined forces with our long time friends at the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) and A Better Me Foundation to expand our Youth Empowerment Program! Together, we are opening new doors for youth who are transitioning out of foster care and / or simply into independent adulthood, a critical time that calls for support, guidance, stability, and hope.

This partnership represents  a reunion of shared purpose. Having worked alongside these amazing organizations in the past, we are excited to reconnect in a new capacity that will allow us to reach even more young people and families.

Empowering Youth for Life Beyond Care

Our Youth Empowerment Workshops are designed to equip participants with real-world skills, emotional resilience, and the confidence needed to build strong, successful futures. Each session provides hands-on learning experiences, mentorship, and a supportive community that celebrates every step of progress.

What a beautiful day! We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us for our Ice Cream Social 🍨 and took part in the beautiful bubble 🫧  send-off for our beloved therapy dog, Brok. It was truly a special day, filled with sunshine, positive energy, and the kind of loving support that makes our community so strong. ✨

For the children we serve, Brok was more than a therapy animal — he was a source of comfort, joy, and unconditional love. 🐶  Saying goodbye is never easy, but having the chance to celebrate his life together helped the kids process their loss in a healthy, supportive way. The bubble send-off provided them with a meaningful and gentle ritual, allowing them to express their feelings, honor Brok’s memory, and feel surrounded by care as they let go. We also shared comfort kits with gifts and resources.

Events like this remind us how healing it is to come together as a community. Your presence helped show our children that they are not alone in their grief, and that Brok’s impact will continue to live on in their hearts. 💕

Thank you for making this day so memorable, and for helping us turn a moment of loss into one of connection, healing, and love.

Our Bark in the Park event was a joyful celebration of pets, people, and community, held in the heart of our beautiful Sanctuary space. The event brought together families, animal lovers, and community members for a day full of fun, learning, and meaningful connections.

Set against the natural beauty and peacefulness of the Sanctuary, the event featured a variety of activities including pet-friendly games, training demonstrations, educational sessions on animal care, wellness and intro to engaging supply vendors. We saw everything from tail-wagging contests to impromptu puppy parades, families showcasing their paw family talents and laughter filled the air as children played and pets made new friends. It was a day built on love, learning, and shared joy.

To everyone who joined us for our Bark In The Park event — thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Because of you, we shared a truly special day filled with laughter, learning, wagging tails, and unforgettable memories. Together, we connected as a community, celebrated our love for animals, and took steps to become even better humans for our furry family members. Your presence, energy, and support made this event a joyful success! We’re so grateful for your continued love and commitment to community, compassion, and care.
